Concept Update

One of the side effects of Tim spraying high build primer on Bolero has been some additional thinking about final colors. I have continually waffled between white topsides and dark blue and seeing Bolero decked out in white rekindled the color fires.

So I updated my mockups to reflect some minor changes and incorporate my current color preferences. It seems to be a bit of a coin toss between a white topside with green bottom paint and a dark blue topside with either white or green bottom paint.

But this choice has changed so many times I won't even know for sure until I see the pictures of the painted topsides. Actually since topside paint won't go on until after the cabin is done, I will reserve final judgment until then.

Here are the full size drawings.

Strong vote for the white/green! They look fantastic in any skin (excepting orange and yellow) but white/green is such a classic look it can't go wrong. In addition it wears very well, stays cooler etc.

What program are you using to do your mockups? Any chance I could steal your template?

Hey Kristian,

Thanks. I am liking that color combination more and more. The problem as you say is that they look great in many colors. But I do like the classic look.

For my mockups I am using Autocad and a free paint program called paint.net. I had hoped Autocad would let me do the whole job but my version won't let me input custom colors.

I will gladly send you anything that I have.

Drop me an email and we can talk about what you need.

Cheers, Bill
