1986 Mini 12 Metre J Boat

So perhaps the Rhodes Evergreen in the post below is bit more boat than you are looking for. But you still want you some long and skinny. How about this.

She is a 21 ft long mini 12 metre. You are going to have to act fast on this one as she is on the auction blocks of ebay. Her location is Pocasset, Massachusetts.

Check the full listing for more photos, but here are some teases.

Now I do think Bolero is looking a bit pudgy.

OK, now that I have sold my Luder's, I have my check book out again...that is beyond sexy and perfect for my needs!

This is an Endeavour J built in the UK and imported by Tom Hale at the Martha's Vineyard Shipyard. She is a scaled down J class (Endeavour). They are real fun to sail...very fast, very wet, and a real head turner.

Hi Tim. Do you know if Tom would sell a set of plans for others to build from? I'm here in New Zealand and wanting a project to build my own 'America's cup' class J-class boat. 2 things to tackle though; I have never built a boat - and 2, I have to learn to sail!

Hamish...sorry for long time to respond...just saw your post this morning.

As far as I know Tom Hale did not have the plans to the Endeavour J. These boats were built in Cowes,UK,by Mustang Marine (now out of business?). I think there were only about 22 ever built.

I am replacing the deck on my Endeavour J, Kay Fore, and the company doing the work, Teakdecking Systems of Sarasota FL just shipped a new deck for the J class Endeavour (the big one) to Auckland. Endeavour has been undergoing a refit there for the past year or so. Having the same stock of teak ties the history of these boats.
